"Take my chances" nghĩa là gì?

"Take one's chances" = tận dụng cơ hội -> liều mình thử làm việc gì dù cho có khả năng thất bại.
Ví dụ
I know it’s unlikely I’ll become a pop singer but I don’t care—I’m taking my chances anyway.
“I have dreamt of that, but first I have to prove myself & prepare. If I decide somewhere along the way to take my chances as a manager, my link, my commitment, my passion with Liverpool is there.
During the annual Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013, two homemade pressure-cooker (nồi áp suất) bombs detonated (phát nổ) 12 seconds and 210 yards (190m) apart at 2:49 p.m., near the finish line of the race, killing three people and injuring several hundred others, including 16 who lost limbs (tay chân). We can’t fight a bomb. I would far rather take my chances with a concealed (giấu) handgun against a psycho shooter than being in fear of a bomb blowing up a restaurant, movie theater or concert.
