"Trial by media" nghĩa là gì?

"Trial by media" = truyền thông kết tội -> nghĩa là một người bị kết tội bởi đám đông do các phương tiện truyền thông đưa tin tiêu cực, dù chưa qua xử án.
Ví dụ
They point to lack of evidence (thiếu bằng chứng) for the conviction (kết án), contrary (đối lập) evidence from the witnesses (nhân chứng) brought by the prosecution (bên khởi tố), and a public trial by the media before charges were laid.
Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the wing believed that as long as Ahmad Zahid had not been convicted, he remains innocent (vô tội). “Let the legal process take place in a fair, transparent (rõ ràng) and without prejudice (mối hại) in court." There should not be a trial by the media.
Mr Menon said a parallel (song song) trial by the media might influence an investigating agency to make arrests and might even cause witnesses to turn hostile (thù địch). He added that post-trial, the independence (tính độc lập) of the judiciary (tòa án) was threatened if the media questioned the integrity (tính chính trực) of the judge.
