"Be long in the tooth" = (lợi tụt hết nên) răng (trông) dài ra -> nghĩa là già rồi/có tuổi rồi, không còn con nít nữa.

Ví dụ
"The bull market may be long in the tooth, but the technicals of low unemployment, low inflation (lạm phát) and positive GDP numbers don't support a pullback (đẩy lùi, làm chậm tiến)," said Jon Ulin, managing principal at Ulin & Co. Wealth Management.

Next Gerry claims he remembers when Iran was ‘very friendly’ with the US. He must be long in the tooth as this was when we still pulled the strings of the puppet (con rối, kẻ bù nhìn) Shah. Does he remember the Iran hostage (con tin, đồ thế chấp) situation of 40 years ago? The Khobar Towers in 1996?

Sure, HBO tried to sell you on Big Little Lies once Game of Thrones was over, and sure, the show is...fine, but it's got nothing on GoT where you're concerned. So what are you supposed to do, wait for George R.R. Martin to finish his books and then create another universe (vũ trụ) which HBO will transform into little screen fodder? Heck no! You'd be long in the tooth before that happened.
