"Dig up dirt" nghĩa là gì?

Tui không có "đào bới" gì hết. Photo courtesy: Pastor Chris
"Dig up dirt on somebody" = đào bới (tìm) đồ dơ bẩn -> nghĩa là tìm hiểu và tiết lộ thông tin tổn thất của ai; "vạch lá tìm sâu", "bới lông tìm vết".

Ví dụ
They hired a detective firm to dig up dirt on their rival.

The White House has released a five-page “transcript” (bản ghi) that proves President Donald Trump asked the president of Ukraine to investigate – dig up dirt – on his top political opponent, Joe Biden, and Biden’s son Hunter. The so-called “transcript” – really a compilation of notes taken by aides (sĩ quan) who may have listened in on the call, also shows Trump promising U.S. assistance if the Ukraine president fulfilled (thực hiện) his wishes.

Fair enough. There is always two sides to every story, right? Well, what Daniel failed to realize during that absurd (ngớ ngẩn) explanation is that the internet will stop at nothing to dig up dirt, and another clip of the same failed two-point conversion was released on Thursday morning. This clip is from the sideline angle and folks (mọi người), lemme tell ya, it does NOT look good for your boy Kash.
