"Give the silent treatment" nghĩa là gì?

"Give/get (one) the silent treatment" = bị đối xử im lặng hoặc im lặng với ai-> không nói chuyện/ ngó lơ ai vì đang tức giận.
Ví dụ
A Cancer (Cự Giải) may go full-on (hoàn toàn) crybaby mode, while a Scorpio (Bọ Cạp) may become a bit reclusive (ẩn mình) and brooding (ủ rũ), and then eventually decide to give whoever upset them the silent treatment for the rest of the day.
The silent treatment punishment is especially lacking in instruction (thiếu chỉ dẫn), leaving the other confused and helpless. I have many clients that are heartbroken as their partner gives them the silent treatment instead of working on their mutual empowerment and happiness.
Unfortunately, people give each other the silent treatment everywhere people live, breathe and interact. It’s not typically so malevolent (ác ý) as a 19th-century prison, though, and nowadays “silent treatment” usually means anything from light sulking (hờn dỗi) to hostile seething (thù địch) or complete shutting down in stony (lạnh lùng) silence.
