"How do you like them apples" nghĩa là gì?

"How do you like them apples" là câu hỏi chủ yếu được người Mỹ và người Úc sử dụng như cách cảm thán, kết thúc một câu hoặc một ý. Nó thường được dùng với ý nghĩa chế giễu, ám chỉ rằng thứ gì đó đáng thất vọng và sẽ không được hoan nghênh. Bên cạnh đó, nó cũng biểu đạt sự hả hê về một việc gì đó vừa làm được mà bạn bè và những người xung quanh chưa chắc đã tin nổi, với họ đó là những điều quá bất ngờ, và khó tin. Thú vị hơn đây từng là câu thoại đáng nhớ của chàng Will (Matt Damon thủ vai) trong phim Good Will Hunting (1997).

This doesn’t have much to do with Thanksgiving pies. Instead, these are pies to always be thankful for. When thinking about my favorite pie, I wasn’t sure what to pick because there’s just so many great flavors (hương vị). At first I wanted to pick something that tastes great, like pecan (quả hồ đào peecan) pie, but decided to go with something that reminds me of home.
