"Lay/put (one's) head on the block" = Dựa đầu vô tảng đá -> Đặt mình trong tình thế khó khăn và nguy hiểm, để bản thân lâm vào cảnh rối ren hoặc ảnh hưởng đến danh tiếng mình.
