"My heart is in the right place" nghĩa là gì?

"(One's) heart is in the right place" = Trái tim đặt đúng chỗ -> Ai đó chỉ có ý/mục đích tốt khi làm điều gì mặc dù họ làm không đúng/mọi việc diễn ra không như ý muốn nhưng suy cho cùng họ vẫn có lòng tốt muốn làm.

Ví dụ
“I know I draw attention, so trying to hit the pocket, trying to find the open man,” LaVine said. “Sometimes, I might even be forcing it a little too much and I’m getting some of those turnovers. I know my heart is in the right place. I know what I have to do down the stretch. I know what I have at the beginning of the game. I got to get us going offensively.”

Working closely with Meadows has been Councilman Erik Altmann, who also should get a second term. We haven’t always agreed with Altmann on some policies, such as his opposition (sự phản đối) to a local ordinance (sắc lệnh/pháp lệnh) banning harmful LGBTQ conversion therapy for the town’s youth, but his heart is in the right place and we respect his ability to maintain an independent perspective (bối cảnh/quan điểm độc lập).

What you do is nonetheless wrong. Since you cannot save all three strangers, you must balance their competing claims to your help. The left person’s claim to be helped is balanced by one claim on the right, leaving one other claim on the right unbalanced. You are thereby morally (theo đạo lý) required to save those on the right side of the pier, and are morally blameworthy (đáng trách mắng) for failing to give due weight to each person’s claim. Even if your heart is in the right place, morality (đạo đức) also requires you to use your head.
