"Off the back of a lorry" nghĩa là gì?

"Off the back of a lorry/truck" = (cái gì đó) rơi ra từ đằng sau xe tải; diễn ra đằng sau xe tải -> cụm từ này nghĩa là đồ ăn trộm, ăn cắp, có được một cách phi pháp. Cụm từ này thường được sử dụng trong trường hợp ai đó cố bán cho bạn cái gì đó có nguồn gốc không rõ ràng với giá rất rẻ.

I have no first-hand experience of smuggling (buôn lậu) goods through pubs, but I did once visit a pub in Salford where some lads (gã, thằng cha) in tracksuits (quần và áo ấm rộng) brought in coolers (thùng làm lạnh) full of meat that had clearly fallen off the back of a lorry (translation for non-British readers: been stolen), and everyone in the pub calmly bought some in a way that suggested this was a normal and regular occurrence.
