"Price something/someone/oneself out of the market" = định giá (khiến đối thủ phải) rời khỏi thị trường -> nghĩa là thay đổi giá cả hàng hóa tới mức thị trường không thể cạnh tranh hoặc còn có thể đem lại lợi nhuận, sống được/trụ được cho đối thủ.

Ví dụ
Delaney, Klobuchar and others (especially Joe Biden from debate 2) think that’s nuts. That’s because it implies (ngụ ý) that the millions of Americans who have and value private insurance (bảo hiểm) would lose it, either because bit was made illegal or because Medicare would price it out of the market.

But the venture (dự án kinh doanh) lasted just over a year before a new owner took over the building and announced renovation (cải tiến) plans. The restaurant was on a month-to-month lease and said the new rents would price it out of the market.

At the meeting, proponents (người ủng hộ) and protesters (người phản đối) of the development virtually broke along generational lines, with senior residents fearing the new development will increase the danger factor in the wildfire zone while younger locals, many of them residents at the Avalon Bay complex, wanting to see some 80 families represented by these units stay put and not be subject to unprotected rent increases which would price them out of the market.
