'Virtue is its own reward' -> nghĩa là đức hạnh tự nó là một phần thưởng, từ này cũng có thể hiểu với  nghĩa 'ở hiền gặp lành'.

Ví dụ
“My candid (thẳng thắn, không thiên vị) advice to you all, this morning, is to shun crime and any act capable of smearing the good reputation and image that the nation has carved for you. As we all know, virtue is its own reward.

Nonetheless, an in-depth probe (điều tra, khảo sát) by the police and the CFSL underway would lead to corrective action needed if any. As virtue is its own reward, every crime does leave a trail (dấu vết) for revelation sooner than later.

According to Socrates, virtue is its own reward. When I say don’t just live your life, own your life, I mean that the autonomous subject’s practice of virtue, while difficult, provides a significant degree of satisfaction well worth the effort. Moreover, with the acquisition (giành được, thu nhận được) of self-possession, we experience an ease, a lightness of being, if you will, that puts an end to many of the needless subjective struggles self-imposed or laid upon us.
