"Fond of the bottle" nghĩa là gì?

"Fond of the bottle" có từ fond là thích, bottle là chai rượu, -> cụm từ này nghĩa là thích uống rượu/bia.

What we do know is that a surprising number of great composers were fond of the bottle. Schubert, for example. There are several accounts of his ‘deplorable (đáng trách) and embarrassing conduct while a guest at private functions in respectable family homes’. Even as a teenager he could be a nasty drunk.
It’s a well-known story. Working-class Liverpudlian hairdresser Rita enrols on a Literature course with the Open University. Her one-to-one tutor is Frank, a jaded (chán ngấy) academic who’s too fond of the bottle.
