"Lose count" nghĩa là gì?

"Lose count (of something)" = Không nhớ đã đếm được bao nhiêu, thường là cái gì có số lượng lớn.

Ví dụ
As he spoke ahead of tomorrow's game with Watford, it was easy to lose count of how many times Rodgers said he was happy at Leicester.

“One could almost lose count of his tennis records –he spent 237 consecutive (liên tục) weeks as world No. 1, holds the most grand slam men's singles titles (20), and has won 103 singles titles in total so far,” said Swissmint. “These records and his versatile (linh hoạt, toàn diện) playing style make him probably the greatest tennis player of all time.”

Of course, it’s there as a signifier (báo hiệu): that’s right, we’re Coldplay – one of the biggest bands in the world – and we’ve thrown caution to the wind. It’s a laudable (đáng ca ngợi, tán dương) intention, but Everyday Life is wildly uneven (thay đổi, gập ghềnh), held together only by its thematic obsession (ám ảnh về chủ đề) with religion: disc one (Sunrise) literally ends with a hymn (thánh ca), disc two (Sunset) with Chris Martin singing “Alleluia, alleluia”. You lose count of the references to God, church and prayer in between.
