"Lose my footing" nghĩa là gì?

Vẫn cứ yêu đời, vẫn cứ bay nhảy suốt ngày. Photo by Anthony Ginsbrook

"Lose (one's) footing" = Mất chân trụ, bệ đứng -> Bị trượt chân, té hoặc ngã khi đang thực hiện hoạt động như múa nhảy, đi đứng hoặc leo trèo.

Ví dụ
Caprice also practiced a few solo moves during her training session and at one point grimaced (nhăn nhó) in horror as she appeared to lose her footing.

Careful! At one point, the TV star looked taken aback as she made her way down the steep steps, perhaps concentrating not to lose her footing.

For me, it was crippling (méo mó, biến dạng). I would lose my footing, my self-identity. Because I struggle with bipolar [disorder] (rối loạn cảm xúc lưỡng cực), my emotions are ready to be pulled one way or the other — when I was untreated, as I was then — and I would either react very angrily to the invasion (xâm nhập, xâm phạm) to my privacy (which is exactly what, of course, the paparazzi (thợ săn ảnh) want, because then they can show you as an angry person, not just nice) or I'd get very sad that I was being picked on, or centered, when I really didn't want to be. I didn't choose that life myself — it was my husband's life.
