"Be looking you in the face" nghĩa là gì?

"Be looking (one) in the face" = Thấy rõ/nhìn rõ trên mặt -> Chỉ điều sắp xảy ra/thành một vấn đề; điều quá rõ ràng nhưng không nhận ra.

Ví dụ
"The shooter could be any one of these people living here. We could be looking him in the face and not even know it," said another resident with clear anxiety in her voice. "Our lives are in jeopardy (cảnh nguy hiểm) here … I need to find somewhere else to live."

How much would you hate being Kardashian’s friend right about now? Seriously, most of us would be looking her in the face and saying, “Look, I love you, but I’m not buying you anymore wedding presents. I’m tired of throwing/attending/purchasing gifts for your showers/weddings. When you’ve been married to the same guy for 10 years, I’ll consider buying you a gift. Plus, don’t you have more money than God? What could you possibly need from anyone else?” Having a bridal shower when you’re as wealthy (and as unskilled at marriage) as Kardashian is, is tacky (tồi tàn, xơ xác) — having more than one is in really poor taste.
