Popular YouTubers Jake Paul and AnEsonGib are due to go toe-to-toe in a boxing match on January 30. Over the last few days, they’ve both taken to YouTube to promote the fight with Paul posting a trailer and Gib posting a promotional video. However, in a strange turn of events, Gib’s promotional video has now been removed from YouTube after a copyright claim from Paul.

Slaughtneil have been rightly recognised for their club heroics (anh hùng, quả cảm) in recent times, swapping between football and hurling to emerge from their south Derry home and go toe to toe with the flagship (tàu đô đốc) names around the country. But serial county and provincial wins have not materialised into a national breakthrough (sự đột phá), a trend that is a source of deep frustration for them.

But YouTube has ultimately realized that trying to go toe to toe with Disney or Netflix would only result in an ill-advised cash burn, and more importantly, pull the the platform (nền tảng, mô hình) away from its unrivaled (vô đối, không đối thủ) model of an ad-supported platform with countless hours of content. While the streaming leaders must constantly seek out the next big idea to throw money at to keep their subscribers interested, YouTube has its army of creators that it shares ad revenue (doanh số quảng cáo) with, coupled with its low-cost original ventures, and that's enough to keep eyeballs glued to phone screens and attract advertisers. YouTube is fast becoming the platform of choice for advertisers to reach out to younger consumers. Analysts estimate that YouTube generates between $16 billion and $25 billion of annual revenue for Alphabet and with double-digit growth in 2018.
