"(One's) tongue is hanging out" = Lè lưỡi ra -> Khát thè lưỡi ra; cực kỳ khát nước.

Ví dụ
He's limping (đi khập khiễng) badly, his tongue is hanging out. He looks exhausted and it's just clear something is wrong with this animal. Whether he was hurt by another deer, hit by a car or shot by another hunter, you quickly realize this deer has a long, slow death ahead of it.

"My No. 1 competitor is me," Levchin tells me. "There's always a moment in a ride where you're like, 'I can't do it anymore,' when your tongue is hanging out on the handlebar and you've still got another five k to go. You just have to fire that extra gear — giving up is not an option. It's true in bike races, and it's very much true in entrepreneurship."

You know how it is. You’re on a long journey, your tongue is hanging out for a cup of coffee but you just can’t find anywhere convenient to stop. But now all that can be a thing of the past, as I found out when I borrowed a new Fiat 500L MPW – which came with its own built-in Lavazza espresso coffee making machine. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting as it doesn’t look like a conventional espresso maker, more like a tall thermos flask (phích nước, bình thủy). But nevertheless within two minutes of slipping in the pre-packed capsule (bao vỏ) and switching the machine on I was drinking a hot cup of coffee that would have done justice to any good cafe in Rome.
