"Get a/(one's) second breath" = Lấy hơi thở lần hai -> Có thể thở bình thường trở lại/lấy lại năng lượng sau một quá trình mệt mỏi.

Ví dụ
“It was a hard shift, and we found it hard to get a second breath in that first half,” Botes said.“We tried to stick to our structure, and had a get together at half-time to say we needed to revert back to what we have been training for over the past six weeks.

The 18 percent Saturday jump for “Widows” isn’t great for an adult film. And with “Creed 2” and “Green Book” either opening or widening this weekend, it appears unlikely that this will get a second breath. That’s sad: This was a different kind of film, and it fell far short. This will be noticed.

It was a relief to come through the first training session, let alone the first game. Especially when it was coming to 35, 50 minutes on the clock and I had a look up and I was breathing hard. ‘You think: “Ten minutes still to go here, Scott, try to get a touch of the ball and try to kid on you’re still looking forward to passing.” But it was hard. ‘Everyone’s first game back is always exactly the same, it takes five, 10 minutes to get into the game and then you have to get your second breath and then you can kick on from there.’
