"Get (one's) hackles up" = Khiến ai xù lông -> làm ai nổi cáu.

If you weren't already covering your eyes at the horrifying scene, make sure to get your hackles up the second Adrian's body enters the water.

Maybe Cal needs to revisit and reread his opinion pieces on Trump from early 2016 until today. Mr. Thomas has been second only to Hannity, or maybe Limbaugh, as Trump's lead explainer, apologist, water carrier and sycophant. Why, after all the immoral and unethical deeds Trump has committed, does he get his hackles up now?

As merely the next step in a path that has included Alex Gibney's superb The Armstrong Lie, a teary Oprah interview and a dozen smaller, incremental (tiền lời, lãi) mea culpas (tội lỗi, sai lầm), Zenovich's doc probably slots into a nebulous (u ám) middle ground as too lengthy and involved for people who didn't previously care about Lance Armstrong and too repetitive and familiar for anybody paying attention. For that demo, of which I'm squarely a part, Lance is just the latest reminder of how robotic and over-rehearsed Armstrong generally comes across and how the things that get his hackles up are perhaps the only changes.
