"Get (oneself) worked up over" = Tự khiến bản thân mình quá kích động/vào trạng thái tâm lý quá khích vì việc gì.

Ví dụ
Especially when it comes to meeting someone from a dating app, it's easy to get yourself worked up over all the little things that might go awry.

When we do have information—from CBS, or from reliable sources—I’ll definitely write about it and analyze it. But in the meantime, I’m not going to get myself worked up over the idea of awful couples returning if that’s just something someone made up and isn’t going to happen. (Though I do agree: it’s a terrible idea.)

If you’re the kind of person who can’t resist a sassy retort (sự trả miếng, trả đũa), you’re going to have to spend some time training yourself to let it go. Elsa can do it; so can you. Scroll past posts or comments that irritate you. Don’t click through to a person’s profile to get yourself worked up over all the other terrible things they think. Don’t immediately message that one friend you talk to all the time about things that piss you off and add this latest offense to the conversational queue.
