"Liar, liar, pants on fire" = kẻ nói dối, quần cháy kìa là kiểu chế giễu của đám học sinh được sử người lớn sử dụng một cách châm biếm.

As popular as the saying has become, though—and as satisfying as it is to chant or say—“liar, liar, pants on fire!” is not the most intuitive (trực giác) of phrases. Although people’s pants do sometimes catch on fire, this correlates (điều tương quan) more with carrying around accidentally (vô tình) explosive materials (vật liệu cháy nổ) than it does with truthfulness (sự thật).

“Over and over again, we wanted to have trust. It’s built on the premise (tiền đề) that we are truthful, that we come forward. But there is no truth with you whatsoever. That’s why it’s important to you,” Gosar said. “To look up here and look at the old adage (ngạn ngữ) that our moms taught us. ‘Liar, liar, pants on fire.’ No one should ever listen to you and give you credibility (tín nhiệm).”
