"Play yourself in" = Đặt chính mình vào/chơi hết mình vào -> Đã quen với/thoải mái với tình huống hay hoàn cảnh xảy ra như vậy (trong thi đấu thể thao hoặc trò chơi).

Ví dụ
With Lambert naming an unchanged side, his squad rotation policy having stopped in 2020, the Blues boss said: "Now it's a case of you either play yourself out of the team or you play yourself in it. It's up to you. The guys, in this moment, are playing really well.

That's not to say that we've hit the point of no return and things can't change (again: your reigning champion Blues sat dead last in January last season) but, while you can't officially play yourself in or out of playoff positioning this early in the year, the first few months of the season can make a world of difference when we eventually get to retrospect (hồi tưởng, nghiên cứu lại quá khứ).

“As a batsman, when you go in and a few balls bounce like that it’s not easy to play yourself in in a calm manner. He was very composed. “We expect a lot of maturity and responsibility from someone like him. Of all the brilliant innings I’ve seen him play, this for me was top of the pile. At no stage did we feel like he was going to throw it away. “He played the perfect innings for that kind of a situation on that kind of a wicket against a bowling attack that was threatening to pick up wickets at any stage.”
