"Roll my log and I'll roll yours" hoặc "log-rolling" = lăn giúp tôi khúc gỗ, tôi sẽ lăn giúp anh-> hãy giúp tôi, tôi sẽ giúp lại anh; thông đồng; làm thông qua (trong chính trị), trong việc tâng bốc tác phẩm của nhau giữa các nhà phê bình (văn học).

Ví dụ
You roll my log, I'll roll yours. If you'll vote for bill X, then I'll do anything you want. Just tell me when to vote, how to vote, and don't tell me anything about what I'm voting for.

According to a court filing (hồ sơ tòa án) on Clarno’s behalf, “The ultimate aim of the single subject rule is to prevent logrolling, which is the practice of offering several provisions (điều khoản) that could become law that, standing alone, could not have succeeded on their own merits (công trạng).”

The issue was dissected (chia ra) into four categories: Casting a ballot; Voter registration (đăng ký cử tri); Rights for voters with disabilities (cử tri khuyết tật); Required post-election audit (kiểm tra). But Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) argued the reasoning was to avoid what's known as "logrolling."

In 2015, a federal appeals court (tòa án phúc thẩm liên bang) overturned four of the original 18 counts on which Blagojevich was convicted (kết án), ruling that aspects of his handling of the Senate (Thượng viện) vacancy (vị trí bỏ trống) amounted to traditional political “logrolling” that wasn’t illegal (bất hợp pháp).
