'The wages of sin (is death)' = làm việc xấu sẽ nhận lại quả báo, kết cục không tốt.

If there is going to be any comparison it must be against the perfect form of God’s Holy Law. Compared to God’s standards, not one of us has a claim to fame (lý do được biết tới, nổi tiếng). As a matter of fact, all our mouths are shut and there is only room for repentance (ăn năn, hối hận). For all have sinned and the wages of sin is death, St. Paul writes.
So, when someone tries to ascribe (đổ tại, gán cho) to those who love sinners (kẻ có tội), who pray for them, and who warn them of God’s wrath (sự phẫn nộ), lest they repent, with the label of “bullies,” it is a cowardly attempt to blame others for your own sin. Those who live this way, remain in the fallen nature of Adam, by whom sin came upon all of humanity, along with the wages of sin — death.
“It’s a sobering (đúng đắn, nghiêm trang) thing to read your own pathology report (báo cáo về bệnh lý học),” he said. “When I read it, I thought, ‘Well, God has a different report. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.’ … That’s what we have in Christ for us: God Himself showing up to suffer with us and for us, and to conquer even death by His resurrection (hồi sinh).”
