"Have a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock" nghĩa là gì?

"Have a few kangaroos loose the top paddock" hoặc "have kangaroos in (one's)/the top paddock" = vài chú kangaroo lông nhông trên bãi cỏ -> nghĩa là hành động điên rồ, dại dột, thiếu suy nghĩ, lập dị, vô nghĩa. Chủ yếu sử dụng ở Úc.

On another occasion, after I had written about a visit to Australia, someone wrote to suggest I was "a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock" while another observed (nhận ra) that Crutch was a "drongo" (ngu ngốc) and "a snag [sausage] short of a barbie." (ngớ ngẩn)
More equivocal (lập lờ) was The Critic magazine’s Christopher Silvester, who opined (bày tỏ), “As an Aussie might say, Kurzel seems to have a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock. The film is partially in period and partially not, like an avant-garde (đi trước thời đại và thường là lập dị) student production — or perhaps the budget (ngân sách) for costumes just ran out.

Clearly, I'm losing my marbles (hòn bi).
