"Take evasive action" nghĩa là gì?

"Take evasive action" = hành động lảng tránh -> tránh né để khỏi xảy ra chuyện đáng tiếc.

Ví dụ
A dark car overtook (vượt) a Leask’s public bus on the A970 into the path of an oncoming vehicle, causing the bus to take evasive action to avoid a collision (va chạm).

These rules have been around much longer than most of us have lived, and there is good reason for both. When you walk on the left, you see what is coming and can take evasive action if necessary. When you ride on the right, you are going the same direction as other moving traffic (phương tiện đang di chuyển) at intersections (giao lộ), which is where accidents can happen.

“The arrestee (người bị bắt) started his vehicle, revved the engine (rồ máy) while victim (nạn nhân) 1 was attempting to get back to his home. The arrestee placed his vehicle in gear (gài số) at a high right of RPM and drove directly at victim 1. Victim took evasive action to avoid being struck (va đập). The vehicle continued in forward motion forcing (buộc) victim 2 to take evasive action to avoid being struck,” the affidavit (bản khai có tuyên thệ) states.
