"Tinker around with" nghĩa là gì?

"Tinker around with (something) = hàn, nối lại. Nghĩa khác là kiểm tra, thử nghiệm, hoặc sử dụng cái gì để học hỏi từ nó.
Ví dụ
“I have some basketballs around, I have enough space in my apartment where I can tinker around with some different basketball training (đào tạo) apps like HomeCourt, do some different dribbling drills (nhồi bóng),” Harris said.
Time is a major factor while shopping these days as one needs to get back home within the period allowed in the permit (cho phép). So shopping for grocery once a week means dividing (phân chia) time carefully at the supermarket among the different sections – fish, meat, vegetables etc. There is no time to tinker around with electronic gadgets (thiết bị điện tử) that look good but you don’t need.
Others will tell you that funding (tài trợ) does not matter and that only choice and competition (cạnh tranh) will improve public schools. They are wrong. Research (nghiên cứu) consistently demonstrates (chứng minh) that increases in funding make a difference in the educational outcomes (kết quả giáo dục) of children. But we cannot tinker around the edges and expect to get dramatic results (kết quả ấn tượng).
