"Ride a tiger" = cưỡi trên lưng hổ -> nghĩa là chịu trách nhiệm hoặc bắt tay vào việc mà không thể từ bỏ an toàn.

Ví dụ
The Governor has only warned (cảnh báo) the government. Mamata Banerjee must remember that one can ride a tiger but getting off the tiger is not easy. She must stop her communal (công cộng) politics.

Harvard University epidemiologist (dịch tễ học) William Hanage told Science it’s dangerous for politicians to trust models that claim to show how a little-studied virus can be kept in check. “It’s like, you’ve decided you’ve got to ride a tiger,” he said, “except you don’t know where the tiger is, how big it is, or how many tigers there actually are.”

Power is like a tiger, if you ride a tiger, you must be very careful when you get down, otherwise you find yourself inside the tiger's belly (bụng).
