"You can't expect me to believe that" nghĩa là gì?

"You can't/don't expect (one) to believe (something)" = đừng trông mong tôi tin điều đó -> nghĩa là những điều bạn nói thật ngớ ngẩn/khó tin.

Ví dụ
You can't expect me to believe that werewolves (người sói) are real and they exist.

"Michael, please!" She felt admonished (bị khiển trách), ashamed, wrong. She leaned forward. "You can't expect me to believe you—you had some sort of crush on me?”

A tycoon (tướng quân), asking a drop-dead gorgeous (vẻ đẹp chim sa cá lặn) woman: Have you nerve to stand there and expect me to believe that you don’t want to marry my son for his money?

A: “You can't expect me to believe that you're willingly here with me after I confessed what I did—and what was done to me. Much less because I confessed it!”
