"My enemy's enemy is my friend" hoặc "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" = kẻ thủ của kẻ thù là bạn -> nghĩa là hai phe đối lập có thể làm việc cùng nhau chống lại một kẻ thù chung.

Ví dụ
In politics, there are no permanent enemies, and no permanent friends, only permanent interest, so goes the saying. Your friend today will be your enemy tomorrow and vice versa. An enemy of your enemy is your friend.

I would request other countries of the world to make their own versions of Chinese Mosquito Killer Tennis Racket – it is truly one of the greatest inventions of the century. Upon further inspection (kiểm tra), I found that my bike is thankfully Japanese. Chanakya says an enemy’s enemy is our friend, so I washed it and showered it with love and affection.

India’s neutrality stance (lập trường trung lập) is stupid. Chanakya said, my enemy’s enemy is my friend. America has a problem with China, Japan has a problem with China, Vietnam has a problem with China, Singapore has a problem with China. Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, they all have a problem with China. Why should we not aligning with them? It’s a common sense that we should align with America and we are heading in that direction. We already have strategic partnerships (đối tác chiến lược). We need to deepen them. We must go all out for the alliance (liên minh) with America, Australia and Japan. This should be the basic alliance and Vietnam must be a part of it.
