"Ring your chimes" nghĩa là gì?

"Ring one's chimes" = rung chuông -> nghĩa là gõ đầu, hay tác động vào đầu ai khiến choáng váng hoặc sang chấn. Nghĩa khác là khơi dậy, kích thích, hấp dẫn ai.

Ví dụ
Ring your chimes and tell the camivores (động vật ăn thịt) that they can try to tag an herbivore (động vật ăn cỏ).

She didn't ring his chimes. He didn't ring hers. She wanted out, but he wanted to immigrate, and she was his ticket.

A rotary engine humming eagerly through the gears (bánh răng) is absolutely charismatic (lôi cuốn), and, if this doesn't ring your chimes, you'll be pleased to find the rest of the car in harmony with the melody under the hood (mui xe).

A: "Ouch. The dentist? Thought that's what you didn't want. Your call sounded almost frantic (điên cuồng)."
B: "Maybe I overreacted. He's a very nice man," she said primly.
A: "Honey, nice men are a dime a dozen. But does he ring your chimes?"
