"A bunch of malarkey" có malarkey là nói bậy, vô nghĩa -> cụm từ này nghĩa là nói phóng đại quá mức, nói sai sự thật hoặc ngu xuẩn.

Ví dụ
“Get out there and vote against any politician like Donald Trump who has downplayed climate change, just like he’s downplayed COVID,” the Washington Democrat said. “(These fires don’t) have a dang thing to do with thinning timber. It’s just a bunch of malarkey.”

The Washington governor then rebuked (kiển trách) Trump suggesting that “somehow we could have solved this problem by timber thinning” as “just a bunch of malarkey.”

The analyst (nhà phân tích) thinks Uganda’s problems are technical, and that once you have the right personnel, policy and equipment, Uganda will be cruising to First World status. What a bunch of malarkey! In truth, Uganda’s problems are political in every hue, and responses have to be political.  Or they are a major part in these times.
