"Bobble the ball" -> nghĩa là lúng túng/lóng cóng giữ bóng trong tay khi cố bắt bóng.

Ví dụ
“Richard Rodgers did bobble the ball a little bit – all of that happens really fast – he’s still really declared himself down,” Fipp said. “So I would say I would have a hard time arguing (tranh cãi) that they did anything wrong with that. I think the one-second runoff was fair.”

Tigers quarterback Bo Nix appeared to bobble the ball a bit on the third-down snap before attempting to spike the ball and stop the clock. Instead of calling it a fumble (vụng về), however, officials ruled it intentional grounding.

It was almost like a reset for me. I kind of liked it. When you watch NFL games, they bobble the ball and then run it back for 90 yards. That’s how it was for me. I caught (bắt) the ball. They had their eye on the ball and not on me. I picked the ball up and ran it all the way back for a touchdown (ghi bàn).

In Little League, our first base coach never got tired of telling the players to “run out every ground ball.” Who knows—the first baseman may make an error, the fielder may bobble the ball or you may be faster than you thought and reach first base safely.
