"Thumb on the scale" = ngón tay đè lên cân -> nghĩa là chiêu thức lừa đảo/thao túng tạo lợi thế bất công cho kẻ lừa đảo, ý nói tới việc khi cân hàng, nguời bán đè ngón tay lên cân để tăng trọng lượng, từ đó tăng giá sản phẩm.
