"As queer as a nine-bob note" nghĩa là gì?

"(As) queer/bent as a nine-bob note" nghĩa là giả mạo, sai trái, bất hợp pháp. "Bob" là cách gọi khác của đồng shilling (Anh) trước khi đổi sang hệ thập phân năm 1971, vì vậy không bao giờ có nine-bob. Nghĩa khác (phổ biến thời nay hơn) là chỉ người dị tính, đồng tính luyến ái.
