"Those are the breaks" nghĩa là gì?

"Those are the breaks" = đó là điểm dừng -> nghĩa là không thể thay đổi tình thế, nhất là những tình huống xấu, nên không việc gì phải buồn hết.

Ví dụ
Whether the Buckeyes make it to that Big Ten Championship Game is the sport's main issue (vấn đề) at the moment. Allowing a football factory ineligible (không đủ tiêu chuẩn) for its own league title game to play in the playoff might violate (vi phạm) a sense of fairness that would go beyond the CFP Selection Committee. If we've learned anything this season, those are the breaks. COVID-19 is calling all the plays.

Joking aside, hard to say Saturday wasn't the best overall team performance by MSU in 2020. A season-high 51 points. The defense was forcing (ép buộc) turnovers and the offense was gaining easy chunks of intermediate yardage consistently. Sure, the Bulldogs were the beneficiary (lợi lộc) of a couple abysmal (không đáy) gaffes by Missouri, but those are the breaks.

I haven't even seen it. All I saw was on the big screen. It just seems like those things work against (chống lại) us quite a bit for some reason. Just that play alone, we're probably going to go in at halftime ahead and it's probably a different second half. But those are the breaks in football and just hope some of them go our way.

Vanderpump Rules has been off the air for 80 years now. Unfortunately, those are the breaks when a stupid pandemic forces the shut down of businesses and makes an absolute (hoàn toàn) mess of the restaurant industry.
