"Be on my Pat Malone" nghĩa là gì?

"Be on one's Pat Malone" = mình Pat Malone (tiếng lóng chỉ một bản ballad về một người Ireland (tên là Pat Malone), người đã phải chịu nhiều bất hạnh sau khi di cư đến Úc) -> nghĩa là không có ai khác, chỉ riêng mình hoặc bởi chính mình.

Ví dụ
You are not on your Pat Malone there. I think most Vics are that Fraudenberger should be so vitriolic (cay độc, chua cay) in the condemnation (kết án, xử phạt) of his home State.

Shivoo’s most likely origin is a British dialect word (từ địa phương) (by some accounts Yorkshire or Cornwall) shiveau (with the sometimes Frenchified spelling of chevaux). Of course, some choose to drink alone. Such drinkers are said to be dry hash, Jimmy Woodser, Jack Smithers, drinking on my Pat Malone or drinking with the flies. Pat Malone is merely rhyming slang (for alone) and it’s never quite been clear if a Jimmy Woods or Jack Smithers ever existed.

WHAT a fantastic grand final presentation hosted by the AFL last week. All day live coverage, 3pm kick-off and plenty of time to celebrate after that. As a mate said down at the beach the other morning, what's happened to our game (rugby league)? The greatest game of all. We once had barbecues and watched three grades of footy, had a few beers with our mates and families, all at a respectable time. Now I'll sit around all day waiting for an 8pm kick-off. The missus (bà, cô) will watch a movie, the kids will be asleep, and I'll be on my Pat Malone. The NRL needs to have a good look at itself. It is only interested in the dollar, not the fans. How sad.
