“Lose (one's) temper” = mất bình tĩnh -> nghĩa là trở nên tức giận, phẫn nộ khi bị khiêu khích, chọc tức.

Ví dụ
Talk to your child, but don’t lecture. Don’t lose your temper, even if you’re frustrated, and have an open mind. Use kindness as your child is already feeling distressed.

If you’re worried that you’ll shout at her or otherwise lose your temper when she provokes (chọc tức) you in the future - and I think you should act as if that’s likely, if not inevitable (chắc chắn xảy ra) - make a plan for deescalation and share your concerns with someone whose judgments you trust.

There are a few ways in which you can get your child to listen. Sometimes your toddler (trẻ mới biết đi) behaves in such an errant manner that you might lose your temper. It is advisable not to lose your calm in such situations. This is because your toddler might notice and start believing that they have the power to stir a reaction in you whenever they want.
