"Ride herd on" nghĩa là gì?

"Ride herd on (someone/something)" nghĩa là giám sát, kiểm soát, điều khiển. Cụm từ xuất phát từ hành động cao bồi cưỡi ngựa vòng quanh để lùa đàn gia súc theo hàng lối.
