... and six cats that they believe were being used for money laundering (rửa tiền) purposes.

The kitties are all expensive pedigree (dòng dõi, huyết thống, nòi) breeds worth thousands of dollars. Specifically, five of them are of a breed called a Scottish Fold. The sixth cat is called a Bengal. Now they're being held by the police, who plan to sell them at auction (đấu giá).

The house that was raided belonged to a woman who has been wanted by authorities (nhà chức trách) for months, and is said to have fled the property before police arrived.
