"Catch one's death of cold" -> nghĩa là cảm lạnh thông thường (nhưng nói quá lên).

Ví dụ
The little boy was told to be careful in the rain or he would catch his death of cold.

The pair are set to take to the rink when the show returns for series 13 in January with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby coming back to host. I certainly hope Vanessa isn’t going to flash quite so much flesh when she’s on the ice – she could catch her death of cold out there.

The weather goes from warm to cold, to warm again, and people suddenly find themselves sneezing and coughing. However, Wichita County Health District Nurse Administrator Lynette Williams said, "It’s just an old wives’ tale. People say if you don’t have on a hat, you’ll catch your death of cold."

This is not the case anymore. Moving into the winter months makes the idea of going for a jog in the dark and wind and rain feel exceptionally uninviting (gây khó chịu). And not only that, years of everyone's mum reminding us to "wrap up warm or catch your death of cold," has led to the pervasive (toả khắp) idea that cold weather must be bad for us in some way.
