"Clap in some place" có clap là đặt mạnh, ấn mạnh -> cụm từ này nghĩa là cưỡng ép, bắt buộc ai vào nơi nào (nhất là nhà tù).

Ví dụ
You can't just clap him into a jail cell without any explanation!

She wouldn’t walk up a flight of stairs to the president’s office for an interview on MTV UK. A Winnebago had to be hired there and then to conduct the interview on the forecourt. All staff was forced to stop what they were doing and clap her into the building. Jesus Christ, it’s fucking MTV! The staff sees A-list music artists day in day out. And they’re at fucking work trying to do their jobs.

The assistant principal called the local deputy sheriff (cảnh sát trưởng) who served as a school resource officer (SRO). By the time Deputy Sheriff Kevin Sumner arrived, SR had calmed down. He had spoken to his mother, and the assistant principal had told him he could go to the bathroom when the deputy arrived. When they returned from the bathroom, the deputy sheriff said SR — all 54 pounds of him — swung an elbow at him. The deputy sheriff’s response was to clap him in handcuffs (còng tay).
