"Excuse me while I kiss this guy" nghĩa là gì?

"Excuse me while I kiss this guy" = xin thứ lỗi khi tôi hôn anh chàng này -> nghĩa là câu hát bị nghe nhầm, câu đúng là Excuse me while I kiss the sky.

In place of the lyric: “Excuse me while I kiss the sky,” Wilcox sings the often misheard (nghe nhầm): “Excuse me while I kiss this guy,” leaning over to kiss Fripp on the forehead (trán).
Now I know what a mondegreen is. It’s when you mishear a word or phrase that makes sense (có nghĩa) to you, but is totally incorrect. For years, I thought Jimi Hendrix in Purple Haze sang: “Excuse me while I kiss this guy.” Disappointingly (thất vọng thay), he kisses the sky.
Occasionally, the couple is seen dancing together, as in a minute-long performance to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, where both wear tutus (váy xòe). But in most, they offer up abbreviated, roughly one- to-two-minute takes on songs no one would ever expect King Crimson’s guitarist to cover: classic metal and hard-rock songs, from “Smoke on the Water” to “Sweet Child o’ Mine”, as well as Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love” (for this past Valentine’s Day), “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and “Purple Haze” (with Willcox changing the line in the chorus to “excuse me while I kiss this guy”).
IT took me many years, to eventual crushing disappointment, to learn that on Purple Haze, Jimi Hendrix isn’t singing “Excuse me while I kiss this guy” but about the sky.
