"Ten foot tall and bulletproof" = cao 3m và ngăn được đạn -> nghĩa là mạnh mẽ, không thể ngăn cản, không thể đánh bại; 'bất khả chiến bại'.

First, the brain development of teenagers is incomplete with the frontal cortex (vỏ não) (often referred to as the home of the voice of reason) still developing and the capacity to predict the consequences of their actions not yet fully developed. As part of this process some young people can develop the belief that they are 'ten foot tall and bulletproof' and take risks that other people wouldn't take.

Plus, it’s less than clear – and thus problematic to breezily assume – that Boko Haram or other existing regional IS-signees doing so was much more than a strategic rebranding move. Heck, one of the authors’ newest favorite ten-foot-tall-and-bulletproof monsters – the Mali-based Islamic State of the Greater Sahara – wasn’t even much wanted by IS-Central. Islamic State’s core leadership left their jihadi Facebook friend request in limbo for almost four years after that faction first pledged allegiance – before formally accepting them in 2019.

The hypocrisy (đạo đức giả) is profound, given the straitjacket (áo bó, sự ràng buộc/kìm hãm) imposed on a nation and with an economy still in hibernation (trì trệ, nằm lì). We know that young people aged 18 to 30 are at high risk of contracting and then passing on the virus. These are the people who were ubiquitous (có mặt ở khắp mọi nơi) at the march (cuộc biểu tình). This cohort (đội quân) is dangerous because in many ways they are like all young people, ten foot tall and bulletproof in their own minds. They tend to care less about what happens to other people and the science suggests that even if they do get the virus, it won’t kill them.
