"Blessed are the peacemakers" -> nghĩa là những người hòa giải, giúp đỡ người khác đều được chúa yêu thương.
Ví dụ
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” –Matthew 5:9. The Beatitudes (phúc lớn), wherein Jesus outlined eight circumstances (tình huống) of blessedness for believers (Matthew 5:3-12), is our continued focus. In today’s Beatitude, peacemakers are blessed (favored by God), and they will be acknowledged as God’s sons.
Jesus used this term when he introduced the Sermon On the Mount: “Blessed are the poor in spirit … blessed are those who mourn (than khóc)… blessed are the meek … blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness … blessed are the merciful … blessed are the pure in heart … blessed are the peacemakers … blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness (điều chính trực) sake.”
The word “peacemaker” (εἰρηνοποιός) occurs (xảy ra) only once in the New Testament. Jesus declares in Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Those who “make peace” receive God’s favor. Being a peacemaker does not mean simply mean being “peaceful” nor being a “pacifist.” (người theo chủ nghĩa hòa bình)
“In closing, I’d like to share a Bible verse that Chris’ family say he lived by: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.’”
