That’s the truth. I mean, it’s the great truth. No one heard us, not even ourselves. I found it very hard. I mean, I’m looking at amplifiers (máy khuếch đại) thinking the sound is going to come through my eyes instead of ears, but it’s like—I couldn’t do any fills because I’m just there just to hold it together somehow, you know. So if I go off for a ‘fill’ which isn’t as loud as all your force on an off-beat it would get lost anyway. And the timing usually went all to cock. And that’s why we were bad players.

Why is this such a big deal? Well, I’ve explained the problem with regular photography tripod (kiềng ba chân) heads before, and why I choose to shoot landscapes with a video tripod. The base of most tripod heads isn’t level (bằng phẳng). Because the top of the tripod legs also isn’t level. This is why we’re able to move the heads around in order to make it level. But, when you rotate that head around, it goes all to cock.

Cold water on warm skin makes you gasp (thở hổn hển), and fast, shallow breathing doesn’t help your co-ordination or control. Added to this is the effort of swimming with your buoyancy (nổi) all to cock because of the wetsuit (đồ lặn) – basically, your feet float up in the water and it means doing breast-stroke with any sort of style is quite impossible.

It isn’t all good though. Kinect controls have been shoehorned into a game that has no right to be a motion controlled game. It is practically impossible to keep the catapult (súng cao su) from shaking, meaning that your accuracy is all to cock.
