"The haves and the have-nots" -> nghĩa là người giàu và người nghèo.

But when I finally got invited for the Bombay Times party many years later, I realized why it was such a big rage (cơn giận dữ)--I had to jostle (chen lấn) my way past Shah Rukh Khan, some beauty queens, many Bollywood actresses and a few big promoters and CEOs. The Mumbai elite (nhóm người quyền lực) was clearly divided between the haves and the have-nots of the Bombay Times party passes!

This has created social tensions (căng thẳng) and unrest, generating and increasing ill-feeling between the haves and the have-nots. This ill-feeling is exacerbated (làm trầm trọng hơn) by the patriarchy-caste legacy working between and within all segments of society. Politicians who may come from any segment of society, take advantage of ill-feeling for personal or partisan benefit.

"I have a feeling that eventually, we're going to see kids go to schools that are in states like Florida as opposed (đối lập) to California or Texas, because they're going to be like, 'state income (thu nhập) tax.'" Josh Newberg, a writer with 247 Sports, says the NIL rule may just widen the gap between the haves and the have nots.

I used this story as a means to explain to my 13-year-old son the looting (cướp bóc) in parts of our country over one dark week in July 2021 – attempting to illustrate the justification behind the act of looting both for the haves and the have nots.
