"Is that a thing?" nghĩa là gì?

"Is that a thing?" -> câu trả lời khi người nghe không chắc về điều vừa nói có thật hay không; 'cái đấy có thật à?'.

Ví dụ
So let me ask you, is that a thing? I mean, are anime studios considered kind of like auteurs (tác giả)? Do they have such separate and distinct house styles that you can kind of tell one from the other? Or is that just a useful shorthand that folks are using?

Is that a thing from a long-snapping perspective (cách nhìn)? Is that one of your duties, or is that something that’s evolved (tiến hóa) because you’ve had experience playing linebacker in your football playing days?

Some people sound old before their time (già trước tuổi). You hear them speaking and then when you find out what age they are, you're surprised that they’re so much younger than you’d imagined them to be. And then other people sound young after their time (trẻ hơn tuổi) (is that a thing?) – you hear them on the radio and when you find out they’re 82 years-of-age, you're genuinely amazed, because they sound like they could be half that age. Case in point: Ann Ingle on The Ray D’Arcy Show.

With that in mind, there’s “a light at the end of the tunnel,” as she sings on the disco-folk (is that a thing?) banger “There Is a Light,” which also houses an unforgettable flute (sáo) solo. The “tunnel” also happens to be lined with flickering (nhấp nháy) neon lights, and maybe a disco ball here and there.
