"Wouldn't work in an iron lung" = có phổi bằng sắt cũng không được -> nghĩa là rất lười nhác.

Ví dụ
'You've got people working for nothing. That is a fair definition (định nghĩa) of slavery (nô dịch) in my terms,' he says. 'You hear time and time again, "oh Aboriginal people wouldn't work in an iron lung." Well, Aboriginal people did work ... and they never got paid for it.'

However, on the other hand, I also know a lot of these kids are lazy brain-dead zombies that wouldn't work in an iron lung and expect to be paid for doing nothing. I guess there are two sides to the story, but that is no excuse to slaverise and abuse these kids.

“Work! The Brits couldn’t spell (đánh vần) it,” he tells “Four-eyes” before embarking (lên tàu) on an illegal boat trip back to the mother country to launch Edna’s rescue mission. “Bloody pommies wouldn’t work in an iron lung.”
