A former defense attorney who became known for his satirical (hài hước, châm biếm) ads  (quảng cáo) offering his ability (khả năng) to “think like a criminal” (suy nghĩ như tội phạm) will spend five years in prison for his role in a large-scale marijuana ring (tổ chức bán ma túy quy mô lớn).

Daniel Muessig, 40, of Squirrel Hill, was sentenced Tuesday by Senior U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab to the mandatory (bắt buộc) prison (nhà tù) sentence allowed.

He pleaded guilty in November to conspiracy  (âm mưu) to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Prosecutors (công tố viên) said Muessig was identified as a large-scale marijuana supplier primarily targeting Braddock and operating out of a drug stash house on Covode Street. On May 24, 2019, investigators who had set up surveillance (camera giám sát) near the house said they saw people carrying large black trash bags (túi rác) with green stickers identifying the strain of marijuana from inside the house to vehicles parked outside.
